Accessibility statement

More than one route in

We aim to make the support site and Android learning edition understandable, operable, and resilient across varied devices and access needs. This statement applies to version 1.0.0 and this static support package.

Structure and navigation

The website uses landmarks, headings, labeled navigation, a skip link, keyboard-operable controls, visible focus behavior, and descriptive page titles. The Android app uses labeled buttons and descriptive image alternatives.

Contrast and type

Primary text uses dark ink on warm paper or light text on deep green. Layouts reflow for narrow screens, type remains selectable on the website, and essential meaning is not encoded by color alone.

Motion choice

Site reveals and ambient motion are decorative. The site honors the operating system's prefers-reduced-motion setting and reveals content without animation when reduction is requested.

Image meaning

Informative editorial images include concise text alternatives. Decorative icons use empty alternatives. Lesson titles, summaries, and image notes carry the educational meaning without requiring visual interpretation.

Offline access

The Android learning library, policy, glossary, exercises, and local controls do not require a connection. The public website itself requires web access but uses no external font, tracker, or script dependency.

Known limitations

The Android navigation strip scrolls horizontally on narrow devices. Long glossary and policy pages require scrolling. The app does not provide audio narration or a dedicated text-size control; Android display and font settings may assist.
